Background

Where the judgment comes from

TechFortress is led by Steve Dumont — 27 years of enterprise technology leadership, spanning complex technology delivery, risk, infrastructure, AI, automation, cybersecurity, data and business intelligence, acquisitions, and enterprise transformation, across operations in the United States and the United Kingdom.

That work carried real operating responsibility: roughly $5 million in annual technology investment, and 99.5% systems availability across the estate.

His recent AI and automation work is measured rather than promised. In 2025 it produced roughly $568,000 in cost avoidance, and a separate AI support deployment eliminated a $63,000 annual renewal in 2026.

In 2023 he added a Wharton Online Artificial Intelligence for Business certificate. Earlier in his career — among a run of professional certifications — he was an MCSE, a senior telecom analyst, and a developer, which is why the technical detail of a delivery is not something that has to be taken on trust here.

Why TechFortress exists

What modern AI actually changed

What changed is execution leverage. Work that used to require a team to draft, build, check, and report can now be specified once and executed at a speed that was not available to a single operator before.

What did not change is the part that decides whether the work is any good: choosing the right problem, defining requirements precisely, controlling scope and risk, validating the result, and being accountable for it. Those remain judgment calls, and they stay with the founder.

TechFortress exists to put those two things together — enterprise judgment about what is worth building, and AI-scaled execution to build it — for businesses that need the outcome and do not need a team to manage.

How the company is structured

Founder-led. AI-scaled.

TechFortress is founder-led and AI-scaled. Steve Dumont sets direction, defines requirements, holds the approval gates, and performs final quality control. Specialist AI agents do the execution: research, specification drafting, production, and validation.

There is no account team and no bench of junior staff, and TechFortress does not present one. What a client gets is direct access to the person accountable for the work, and an operating model built so that nothing reaches them without a human check first.

AI-built. Human-approved.
